Dear Parents/Guardians,
This is another reminder that mid-term exams are scheduled for this upcoming school week.
- Mid-Term Exams (Finals for STC classes and semester courses) will be held from January 7th to January 10th. Reminder-7th and 8th grade do not take mid-terms but will complete Classroom Diagnostic Testing (CDT Testing).
- Quarter 2 ends on January 13th, and Quarter 3/Semester 2 begins on January 14th.
Current STC Students-Students who are currently attending STC will have a double period 1 for mid-terms on Tuesday, January 7th until 9:18AM. At 9:18AM they will be transported to their STC building. On Thursday, January 9th, STC students will not have period 1 class and will be transported directly to their STC building at 7:43AM, after they report to their period 1 teacher for attendance. Student drivers wishing to report directly to STC should report their attendance to the high school office before Thursday.
In the Event of Inclement Weather-If a Flexible Instrcution Day (FID or online day) is called on Monday, exams will continue as scheduled. If a FID day is called on a scheduled exam day, the date of exams will be moved back one day. If multiple FID days are called, an announcement will be made concerning exam dates if the end of S2 is approaching. If a snow day(s) is called, the dates of exams will be moved back. If unsure, a message will go out concerning mid-terms as soon as possible in the event of a FID day or snow day, and students may contact their instructors if they are unsure.
Student Absences During Exams-If your student is absent during a mid-term exam, they should arrange an alternate testing time with the affected teacher. If a planned appointment or trip conflicts with a testing time, students should reach out before the anticipated absence(s).
Please contact the high school office with any questions or concerns.
Thank you!
